I have seen one site that will actually check many of the online bookstores for you for a title and return a list of prices and URLs. Maybe it was shopping.com??? Sorry, but I didn't bookmark the URL.

Fatbrain.com had a $15 off coupon that I used to bet Graham's "Intelligent Investor" for about $10 including shipping. Our favorite caller, Tony, actually posted the details on this about a month ago (obviously, Tony cares what he pays for an internet book!)

You'll have to search through suite101.com to find the details). I am not sure if the special is still going, but $15 is $15!

My fav internet idea is you post what you are looking to buy and people pitch their offers. Be interesting to see what would happen on that site if you posted "I want to get rich quick". 8)

Kirk

For buying books, my wife likes bookfinder.com. Another I know also likes bibliofind.com. Both with search a wide variety of sites and give you the best price, and both will also shop for used books. My wife bought a used book from Amazon on her first attempt and paid about $35 for it, with 3 weeks to get it. Later she found the same book for $11 with 2 day delivery.

For computer parts try pricewatch.com

For miscellaneous PC Mag liked mysimon.com

And the presence of these sites makes me wonder how e-tailers will make money when anyone can come in and underprice them.
