They'll tell you that it's a fools way to trade; but in the recesses of their libraries and trading notes... it lurks ;) Of course, it sounds a bit crazy but if you're trading Corn or Wheat, it's easy to see where Astrology could tie in to other normal cycles in nature. There is a fairly serious analysis of the astrological approach to position-trading in Perry Kaufman's fine book, "Trading Systems and Methods" (Wiley). Surprisingly (he is very analytical and approaches things with a somewhat rigorous, academic method) he takes it seriously and shows (pgs 371-381) why Astrology may have merit as a trading tool - including a pretty logical, serious treatment of the whys and hows of using Lunar phases and Solar eclipses in your trading. If you haven't studied Kaufman (I'm sure Eric P. has, because Perry is 'da man' in System Trading), he is definitely to be taken seriously WRT short-term trading fundamentals - so don't laugh until you've read it! Probably not the favored approach for us high-fiving, swearing, keyboard-smashing types only concerned with eighth and quarter-point daytrade scalps, though <G> -Steve
