Your Absolutely Right DD. Time Frame is extremely important here. Although the short term view appears quite bleak at the moment, the long term view ( over the next 3-9 months) is quite compelling. I think it is long-term gold bugs who are discouraged who are mostly selling out here. The wise investor will add to positions right here and now and hold on and not get caught up in the great despair today. Great Fortunes are made by buying despair.
Those who have no long term vision will have to suffer the consequences, as with everything in life.

Dow has been risky (to some) since 5000. Gold was washed out (to others) at $350. SS
