NYT quote from thread is biased. Truth is most of us supported the stock offering as an efficient way for the company to raise money, take advantage of the stock's runup, and keep the stock price from volatile reaction. Truth is the majority on the thread "jumped" on those with the negative reaction. Instead of even handedly citing the many posts supporting the offering and saw it as good, long-term move for the company's business, NYT relied on the "professionals" for such calmer, more-analytical views. Print media has bias that thread posts are negative--not as good as "professionals." In other words, reference to the thread was not positive but negative and merely reflective of print bias; we just don't get no respect.
