So, if SEC halts are a "case by case situation", and that is the only rule that can be extrapolated from your "rich experience", try not to throw negative vibes regarding the present situation..

I am willing to bet that DGIV will get out of this, though I doubt that it will be on the 21st .

If I take the trouble of looking up past post of yours regarding this issue affecting DGIV, they are mostly all negative and this serves no purpose except to satisfy some perverse satisfaction you get from posting this way.

I do wonder if the last job you had before becoming a "trader" was that of a scare crow in some field and were showered too many times with pesticides...just wandering...inquiring minds want to know....

Jane,

It may sound that easy, and yes, it is that easy.

To start, DGIV will not resume trading on the 21st!! But unless the SEC extends their halt past the 21st, come that day, if Mr. Chin could convince a MM to start trading, they would trade and the SEC could not stop them until they set another halt. The time frame of the halt was quite specific from the SEC's standpoint. As of the 21st of July the halt is lifted whether they have what they want or not.

I look for another press release from the SEC before then extending the halt until ????????? Or they may feel their pointed warning to the MM's about rule 15c2-11 will be enough to keep us down.

Anyway, story to follow later, have an appointment this morning

Lest we get depressed if we don't see trading on the 21st, the suspension actually lasts, if I remember correctly, until midnight of that day, so trading couldn't start until the 22nd. Is that right? Notwithstanding, I would not recommend anyone hold their breaths on the 22nd.
