Hi Johan;
It is a great pleasure to reply to you as I am very interested in the future prospects for PGM mining and exploration in both Canada and South Africa.
I am fully aware of both Implats and Amplats and pay particular attention to Platexco's development in S.A.
As you undoutbedly know there is a lot of co-operation between our two countries in the mining industry.Several of our companies are operating in in S.A. and several of yours have a presence here.
On this side of The Pond my focus of attention is right her in Sudbury , Ontario,home to nickel giants INCO and Falconbridge.
There is an active PGM exploration play growing in the Nipissing Diabase and the River Valley Intrusion properties which are approximately 45 kilometers N.E. of Sudbury.
It is strongly rumored that one of these world class Platinum/Plalladium producers (Amplats/Implats) has decided to joint venture with one of the junior mining companies involved in this area.
There are a number of wolfs with their noses to the ground in the area but,the one that I feel has gathered the biggest bones is Pacific North West Capital Corporation which trades on the Alberta Exchange under the symbol PFN.There is a thread dedicated to PFN on S.I. which I started back in October/98.
I certainly agree with you that the future growth prospects for PGM's is solid and steady.I welcome any comments or questions you might have ,particularly those related to South African investment here in Canada.
Please respond to me on the PFN thread as that is where my $$$ are and where most of my attention is focused.

Kindest Regards : John
