It is hard to generate interest in a subject that is foreign to most investors. I hold stock in Ballard as well as MEOH. Ballard has a lot of attention, and thought Methanex would get a little spin. with fuel prices rising there may be some gain for use of methanol. I still think it has a future. What is the status of the North American plants idled? Can they restart with reasonable cost, if needed? Are there other research programs to use methanol as an alterative fuel? These are rhetoric questions and only need answers that might indicate trends.Fuel cells may still opt for methanol as the preferred fuel. I wish I knew.
