this SI Board levels the playing field to a great degree... much harder for sinister brokerage houses to "distribute" soon-to-decline stocks on the unsuspected uninformed public... devices such as this board may also render much more unlikely a serious decline in stocks individually and marketwide... tools for the online investors this board had early word on S&P, early word on Siemens (soon?), and much better grip on earnings I did not originate putting VOX on the radar screen... read it here on Qthread back in early June, dunno who... been watching it... nice smallcap for a near-pure CDMA play... gonna be a 20bagger I appreciate this board immensely / jim

They can also tap into SI for "man on the street" quotes without actually leaving their desks. After all, how long would it take you to get a decent quote about QCOM by randomly walking around New York City? An unbiased report, however, would balance the story by providing quotes from professionals, and individual investors, on both sides of a controversy. (As the easiest way to get your readers to come to the "right" conclusion is place all the seemingly reasonable professionals on one side, and all the unidentified sources are on the other.) Fred
