As many DOCS thread posters know or might realize, my firm is a PC DOCS systems integration partner. I recently had an opportunity to spend some time with some PC DOCS management and also had an opportunity to hear Mr. Tobin thoughts on moving forward. In discussions with my colleagues (a number of other PC DOCS Partners), it seems that a consensus of opinion is that most of us: a) are pleased the acquisition is complete b) have a sense that the combined company will waste no time in moving forward c) are pleased with the stated direction of the company In addition to this, purely from a PC DOCS perspective, in my opinion (and I believe this is shared by others) we have some things to be pleased with: - A slew of new product delivered - A slew of new product coming real soon now - Reconfirmation of their go to market strategy which continues to be highly partner focused (sure, I have bias) - The partner community continues to enjoy success in large, strategic, accounts and industries My observation is that a wide spectrum of PC DOCS people seem pretty jazzed up about future prospects as well. The group collectively is not without its own troubles and concerns, much of which I and others have commented on extensively on the DOCS and other threads. I do not currently hold any HUMC stock and often hold other DM vendors stock on purely a trading basis. I'm not exactly a cheerleader on these threads but feel it might be interesting to others that there are some positive developments and some amount of excitement is developing over future prospects. Unlike stock investors, business partners of a company like Hummingbird/PCDOCS are necessarily in it for the long haul. We make long term decisions to partner with and support a company's technology. To use a stock analogy, I feel very much like a bottom has been put in and price appreciation is in the visible future. However, I'm quick to admit that I do not have very deep knowledge of the HUMC management team or of their BI product family. Perhaps we can get some discussion happening on this thread to evaluate the newly expanded HUMC from a business and investment perspective.
