Scrapps ...or anybody. Re: Intel and Cisco modem foray. Years ago USRX was able to to beat off(sic) Intel in the modem market,I don't believe that Cisco has any in house modem intellectual property.
Perhaps we are seeing Erics wisdom in purchasing the Bot.It is my understanding that USRX had some extremely good proprietary and patented modem technology.
I believe that USRX saw the necessity of getting into the network end of things and COMS saw the necessity of getting into the modem arena, thus the merger/acquisition. Visionarys both,Casey and Eric??
DMA posted some ADSL and Cable numbers and it seems to me that we are going to have 56k for quite awhile as the most economical modem for mom,pop and myself. This market is still dominated with USRX modems.
