May retail sales were revised up from 2.5% to 3,5% - the retail market is red-hot. these repeated revisions insult one's intelligence -what the heck is the commerce dept. playing at?

Haim, did you read the economist article entitled 'America's creaky banks'? it's an eye-opener - the quality of U.S. bank assets seems highly questionable. an economic downturn would be a disaster for them.
