Show me the fib, bubblehead. My daughter is being raised to be her own person and a winner, not a whining loser like you. JLA

Hi Michelle,

Without speaking for the other posters here, women's soccer and basketball are simply "boring." I don't even like men's soccer and the men's NBA league is becoming more and more like the WWF. Now if you want to talk about American Football (NFL)... now there's a sport "worth watching" <g>... It's the explosion of speed and strength which is found in no other sport.

Women's sports which I'll bet some men DO watch with rapt attention include Martina Hingis, figure skating, and college gymnastics (olympic gymnasts are "a bit young").

I have no interest in men's tennis, skating, or gymnastics.

I think men's basketball is potentially the greatest sport, but it's tainted by the way the officiating has evolved over the last couple of decades. A good argument could be made that the greatest sporting event is March madness in men's college basketball.

Still when it comes to men's sports, for me it's AMERICAN FOOTBALL.

Also, if the announcers could shut up I like to watch grand prix or grand touring racing... just watching the cars make their way around the windy (whine-d) track (more than just left turns) and hearing the engines as they shift gears.. man that's a spectacle... is it a sport though? I hear they have strong neck muscles <g>...

FWIW
Andy

<<Look the original point of all this was that you and your tasteless tag team partner cannot even deal with the fact that women can win anything without degrading the victory in some way, even to the point where you have to "fib" about results posted regarding internet polls etc.>>

I didn't fib about anything. Your statement is a lie. Please redirect this remark to the individual you accuse of fibbing.

<<I really don't care whether you personally think anybody's victory in anything is important or not but to lie about what other people think about it is really low.>>

Where did I lie about what other people think? I didn't. Your statement is a lie.

<<You then proceeded to compare it with other sporting events based on all kinds of erroneous data such as ticket prices, whether these players will have lasting careers in soccer here etc.>>

No. Wrong again. I was asked about ticket prices independent of whether the prices were fair or not. Your statement is another lie.

<<as we have seen with that 1980 hockey match, its not like anybody remembers their names (well I don't) but nonetheless people remember the game.>>

I remember their names. So does David.

<<Maybe in 1991 europe didn't participate or something, I don't know, or the formidable worldwide players stayed out in anticipation of the olympics, whatever.>>

C'mon, Michelle. You can't possibly be this dense. Can you?

<<I have no idea what propels you wackos to denigrate some sports achievers who are compensated in no way other than their desire to win,>>

I didn't denigrate those achievers. I just noted that it wasn't as big a deal as you think it is. BTW, Chastain designed her sportsbra and it comes out that she is getting paid by Nike. So your statement here turns out to be another lie.

<<other than some deep-seeded resentment of a female victory. Fwiw without knowing anything about you I can tell you all have sons as well as daughters, imo your daughters don't have a chance.>>

I love women and strive every day for fair and equal treatment of women. That is why I abhor people who sexually harass women, people who lie about harassing women under oath, and people who obstruct justice in sexual harassment lawsuits. I abhor people who use their female employees as sex tools. I abhor rapists. I favor women candidates for President and favor women SC justices. My daughter is a well-adjusted, smart, beautiful, honest, loving and loved little girl. She has everything you always dreamed about.
