Elroy,

You bring up some excellent questions. Important issues for any Aware investor. Possibly the thread can work together to figure this out.

RE: "I know that CSCO is an AWRE licensee... I've never heard AWRE say that they've received any revenue from CSCO"

Has anyone phoned investor relations?

What are the terms of the contract? Is there an escape clause? What is the duration of the contract? What is the revenue amount?

RE: "why didn't INTC liscense technology directly from AWRE"

Intel could be getting it indirectly. Getting a technology indirectly might imply a) a less permanent relationship, or b) a preference to simplify the deal down to one vendor (letting the vendor manage the other vendor), or c) other.

RE: "And CSCO bought at least 2 DSL companies over the past years, so perhaps CSCO has its own DSL g.lite technology and has gotten xDSL product out the door without paying AWRE any fees?"

Interesting question.

RE: "Unless someone has better info, this agreement indicates to me that INTC is going to develop and ship g.lite modems without paying any $ to AWRE."

Not necessarily. It could mean Intel is paying Cisco (under Intel/Cisco contract) and in turn, Cisco then pays Aware (under Cisco/Aware contract.)

If Intel were using Aware's technology (even if indirectly), wouldn't Aware's marketing department issue a press release announcing Intel's validation of Aware's technology? And if Aware benefits from the Cisco/Intel relationship, wouldn't Aware make an announcement?

Since Aware's marketing department appears to have made no announcement on the Intel/Cisco deal, could this imply something?

Regards,

Amy J
