Yeah, I'd say it'd be a good date flick. Scary movies generally are, or so I hear.

By the way...it's not a make-go-hmmm...kind of thinker. It's more that the payoffs are internal, evoked by what's on screen, rather than shown on it. Not that nothing's shown on screen...

It depends on your date. And whatever you do, don't expect her to go camping with you in the near future.

I saw The Blair Witch Project five days ago and it is still in my thoughts. I keep picturing the last ten seconds of the movie. I'm not the squeamish, nancy boy type, but the movie my hair stand on end from about 10 minutes into it until I was halfway home.

It amuses me to think that a film made by a couple of novices with total unknowns, for $25,000 may just knock the big studios with their $50,000,000(?) epics on their butts come Oscar time.
