You mean there is a person out there making a decision based on what my friend
did or did not do?

No, I mean that if Intel puts up consistently reasonable final results, there will be buyers, regardless of previous estimates.

Really, I just don't understand why a long term investor would pay attention to the short term comments and recommendations from analysts. I expect Intel's stock price growth to follow its earnings growth over the long term (years). I also know that unexpected things happen, and that the more accurate the managing of expectations tries to be, the less I'll trust it.

And finally, if you really want more guidance from Intel management, that's fine with me. I don't mind either way. I'm just trying to understand how the market (you and me and everyone here) thinks, and hence buys and sells.
