(VSE: UBS - news) has developed a number of broadband products based on Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM). Unique has recently delivered the first COFDM digital radio products to a number of Canadian broadcasters. This technology can be used for a number of wireless applications. It is expected that our discussions will be completed in the next four to six months. Our confidentiality agreement prevents us from mentioning the company by name at this time. The Company has also bid on two major rollouts for Satellite Digital Radio Systems (SDARS) in the United States. Each of these two systems will provide listeners with 50 channels of digital audio and 50 other specialty channels such as news and current affairs. The coverage will be national and one will have the ability to travel in a car across the United States and receive the same signal with no fading in CD quality. It is the only systems that will allow for the transport of audio and data to a moving vehicle. Unique has been the pioneer developer of this technology over the past two years. Although negotiations have been taking more time than anticipated, the Company is confident that it will be successful in its pursuit of this business.
