Susie, my trades for yesterday and today are two examples of what not to do.

1. I sold GTNR (for the folio) despite my original game plan when buying the stock in the first place. Patience would have been the right choice. A good example of a good strategy is SW's play on GUMM. The stock just sat there for a while and now he's showing a healthy 40% gain.

I am holding in my personal portfolio most of the stocks that I've traded in and out of in this portfolio. The difficulty I'm having in participating in this portfolio is maintaining trading disciplines while being limited to only one stock at a time.

2. Buying at the open when news that will cause an effect on your stock has been released. It's a wise move to wait until profit taking has come into play and try to catch the next buying wave rather than joining the herd. That's what I did by buying BEAM at today's opening and that's why that position is currently in the negative columm.
