That is NOT exactly what he said. According to you:
It's the best value on Wall St.

But, if you check, I think you'll see that he said:
My 6 years of investment says that 3 COM is the best
valued tech company in the world.....

Big difference. If he meant "best value", then I would agree
with the tone of your post. But since he said "best valued",
my 37 years experience agrees with his six, i.e. COMS should
be priced in the high 20s to low 30s.

A lid was sort of placed on COMS when Benhamou said in the CC
(http://209.67.65.42/ccall/coms/q499.ram) that over next
several quarters (which means 6 mo. to a year, to me) that
Analog Modem and Ethernet revenue will continue to decrease
and will NOT be counterbalanced by xDSL or Cable Modems, Palm
or anything else. This means that for the foreseeable future
we have a "no growth" company in a "growth" industry. It has
been over 2 years now since the USRX merger. 3COM has failed
miserably to deal with the problems in this area. I have no
faith that they will suddenly see the light. Cost cutting to
enhance the bottom line and the threat of a take-over should
be enough to let us exit profitably over the next few months.

I just want to get out and forget I ever heard of it.
