taxman, Morgan, t2k, jd, JFD, Jill and the rest of the Gang, tomorrow and especially Monday could be really interesting. Now, both MSFT and QCOM are releasing earnings after the Bell on Monday, and my thoughts below sum up why I (and many of my colleagues on the G&K Thread) believe that both of these earnings reports could be incredible. Regarding QCOM, tomorrow should see some significant upside. Apparently, the Offering of additional shares (announced on Monday) will be completed on the 21 of July, and this announcement after the Bell today leads me (and many others) to believe that QCOM has some big news to make next Monday after the Bell. Looks like its time to sell some more puts on QCOM tomorrow am.July 15, 1999 QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM) - Third Quarter Earnings Release and Conference Call - Revised Date Due to Expected Timing of Common Stock Offering Earnings Release -- Revised Date QUALCOMM Incorporated will release its third quarter results on Monday, July 19, 1999 at approximately 1:30 p.m. (PDT). After the release has been issued, QUALCOMM's Investor Relations representatives will not be available to return phone calls until the conclusion of the conference call at approximately 4:00 p.m. (PDT). Conference Call -- Revised Date and Dial-in Phone Number QUALCOMM Chairman and CEO, Dr. Irwin Jacobs, will host a conference call on Monday, July 19, 1999 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. (PDT). To participate in the call, dial (212) 346-6523 ten minutes prior to the start time. Having given this some serious thought, my hunch is that date of QCOM being added to the S&P is July 21st at the open, then the share offering deal would be priced late on the 20th, to be offered first thing on the 21st. This would allow QCOM to capture any appreciation in share price in response to the earnings, especially if the earnings *ARE AWESOME*. Maybe you should exercise some of those calls, taxman!!! Hope this is helpful, Teflon
