Internet Financial Network buys WhisperNumber.com NEW YORK, July 15 (Reuters) - Internet Financial Network, Inc. said Thursday it acquired WhisperNumber.com, the news and research Internet site that hopes to be as closely-watched as First Call, the Wall Street market research firm. Terms were not disclosed. WhisperNumber.com, which provides online financial and earnings related content on whispernumber.com, will become part of Internet Financial Network's (IFN) news and research intelligence organization, the company said in a statement. The Florida-based company also said the acquisition would be the first of several. WhisperNumber.com will initially focus on high technology stocks such as America On-Line <AOL.O>, Amazon.com <AMZN.O>, Dell <DELL.O> and Lucent Technologies <LU.N>. The company's investors include CitiGroup's <C.N> CitiGroup Insurance Co., Data Broadcasting Corp. <DBCC.0> and the Trump Group.
