>>You'll see the run up when the date is announced. (firm) for IPO. In my experience this problem has always been traceable back to a certain individual at IDT, who now works for net2phone, who insists on approving all releases and then doesn't do his job for days. Even weeks.

You mean we will see a 2 day run up? Normally a pre-IPO run up lasts for 3-4 weeks. And then what about the post IPO sell off that everyone is expecting?

Regarding this individual at NTOP who does not do his job? Why is this tolerated?

Bear Sterns salesman tells me today that NTOP will price Monday night and trade Tuesday morning.

No doubt HG has put a doubt in folks minds and the company has fallen down in the net2phone pr department miserably.

undoubtedly. i can not believe they did not release an official cpq statement and one on the new prez. i think today many expected some follow up on both or at least one of the events, and neither occurred, very disappointing.

The other problem is that nobody really knows the date og the IPO.

According to IPO Renaissance Capital, NTOP is scheduled for 7/20
(Tuesday). So with two trading days, if the stock does not
emerge from this stupor, the IPO may even fizzle out. Since IDTC
will own 66% of NTOP, the absence of a run up in IDTC may be
interpreted as lack of enthusiasm for NTOP. It is a pity though.
As a company by itself, IDTC may be easily worth what it is now.

Maybe stinks is the wrong word, but based on what I know ntop should be a blistering hot ipo. Idtc isn't acting like it will be and one has to conclude that there is something off. The continuous end of day selling is very disturbing. If it's mms then they are shorting into the ipo. Got to ask what info do they have that we don't?
