I don't believe it a short-term news event that has already been factored in. My observations are that Fidelity's actions have long-term implications. Being the World's largest mutual fund, Fidelity is a leader, and therefore a benchmark for others. Many mutual funds mimic Fidelity's actions. It is almost a certainty that Fidelity had good reasons for selling part of its AOL holdings (and likely other Internet holdings) and Fidelity may not be finished yet.
