INFOWAVE SOFTWARE, INC. UPDATE (VSE:IWM)

INFOWAVE FEATURED IN GARTNER GROUP REPORT

Infowave is featured in Telecommunications TeleViews, a
recent report by The Gartner Group, which discusses
Infowave's strategic development agreement with Glenayre
Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:GEMS). Under this agreement,
the two companies will work together to develop and market
low-cost desktop software that allows wireless, mobile access
to Exchange data, such as e-mail, calendars, contacts, and
task lists through Glenayre's Internet gateways. Combined with
Glenayre's messaging systems, Infowave's software will work
with a wide range of wireless devices including one way
pagers, 1.5 way pagers, two way pagers and smart-phones.

Gartner Group analyst Naqi Jaffery stated, "By striking deals
with major players in the industry, Infowave is rapidly expanding
its presence in the wireless messaging market. The deal with
Glenayre, the largest supplier of paging infrastructure
equipment globally, gives Infowave access to Glenayre's
marketing resources."

Software Magazine's 17th annual Software 500, a ranking of
the world's 500 largest software companies, recently ranked
Infowave Software, Inc. at #352. The Software 500 is a
comprehensive look at the enterprise software landscape,
encompassing both public and private companies that develop
and market business software for a wide variety of industries.
The ranking is based on total worldwide software revenue for
1998.

The May/June issue of Messaging Magazine discussed the
challenges surrounding wireless messaging. Infowave was
profiled as an example of "how a true integrated wireless
messaging solution works."

Additionally, Infowave will be exhibiting at two events for
Microsoft Certified Solution Providers in San Francisco. The first
event is Microsoft Fusion 99 and runs from July 22-25. This is
the third annual business symposium created exclusively for the
worldwide community of Microsoft Certified Solution Providers.
The second event, Microsoft Global Summit, is a prestigious,
invitation only, internal event where selected vendors are
invited to demonstrate their solutions to thousands of Microsoft
employees worldwide. This event takes place on July 28, 1999.

Infowave closed Thursday, July 15, 1999, at $3.71, up $0.14
on over 70,000 shares.
