(OT) Rob G...let me relate my adventures today in downtown OZ; I'd gotten great info/advice from a bucketfull of Gemmers as to which laptop might meet my needs. Bu I gotta tell you, your's was the best. So I printed all 6 of your PM's, bought some STMP with a trailing stop and left at 11:15. Went to Comp USA...nada. Went to Sam's club. Bought a Compaq Pressario 1256. Got the mouse you suggested, got the 56k, 4.3 (maybe more) ram. Sound/video, good looking screen. Took it home, hooked it up. Now despite all the comments I make as to my being a "Thumbs Hendleman" (a real electronic moron), I do have a coupla degrees (meaning only that I can put in time to study a body of knowledge). I bot a W/P, struggled through the manual, got it up and useful. Bot a WEBTV, hooked it up, read the manual got it running and useful (as useful as it can be).
So I've got my Compaq all hooked up; slip in the Windows '98 disk. I'm asked to enter my name. I do. Next I'm asked to "accept the Agreement...the Windows agreement. I position the mouse using the touch-pad, I hit "enter"...nothing. I've been trying everything for the past hour and a half. I gotta be missing something here. Any thoughts? I'll figure it out, but thanks so much for your help.

Another thought: who writes these manuals? They're awful. I suspect if they had manuals for folks who had no experience with 'puters, manuals that "walked" them through gently... they'd sell a whole bunch more.

And the STMP was up a ton today. Sold half near what turned out to be close to the top, bot it back when my buy a few points down was filled. So not too bad a day. (Lee)
