I believe the industry adapted the term modem for the DSL converter box. Modem was at one time short for modulator demodulator. That has apparently been adapted to any box that is used with data transfer to and from the internet.


Why don't you consider your effluent advice more carefully, tell the truth, and not play
electro-physics professor.


My dislike for KIS is his constant lying about his positions. He seems to miss the point that everyone here is well aware he lies. If he would stop that, he might get some respect.
