The sole reason investors are willing to pay hefty premium for these stocks is that THERE WILL BE a new MSFT or CSCO or WMT in this new industry 5 years from now with market cap well over hundred of billions. And yet, no companies other than YHOO AOL and AMZN are more likely to take that honor. >When you refer to "growth" do you mean growth in Internet traffic > or growth in Internet stock prices or both? I mean the growth of this new industry. Many people have been saying: "For a internet stock, the sky is the limit". Well, that is a hype. But for this new industry, the sky is truly the limit. Why is MSFT or CSCO so successful? The reason could not be any simpler: becuase their products touch every family on this planet. On a final note, I am really commenting on the long term trend of this industry, not necessary a specific stock
