I think it is simply logistics and money...that $25 price point has been prohibitive when on the next aisle the same thing is in (gasp) VHS for (double gasp) $8.95. Logistically, it just takes time to digitalize the stuff and get it to market.

Not only that, but most of my DVDs have lots of EXTRAS! Interviews, all the trailers, some have outtakes and so on (Lost in Space is MUCH better on DVD because of the extras, Tromeo and Juliet has some scenes that were cut that are better then and entire movie--the sonnet scene is worth twice the price of the DVD, IMHO). It takes time to put all that together.

I think by Christmas most titles that are going to be available will be, esp among the more popular ones.
