Cirruslvr,

the Kryo 1GHz machine was actually running on a 600MHz Athlon. That is why the system wasn't as stable as it could be.

If a 600MHz part can be overclocked that much with only minor stability problems, it gives an indication that the speedwork required for higher speeds is minimal.
