Here is a relevant post from the Motley Fool FFIV board. Most likely inspired today's press clip.

I just wanted to offer a techie Fool's perspective on this.

The Motley Fool is a Cisco shop. We use LOTS of Cisco gear, both in Fool HQ and on the Fool web site. I really like Cisco's products. In the past we used Cisco's LocalDirector. Now we use F5's Big/IP. It kicks LocalDirector's butt in just about every way. I would not dump our Big/IP for an LD even if Cisco gave it to me. The LD is a good product. Big/IP is better.

In addition to having hardware and software that rock, F5's service is exceptional. We get timely, correct information whenever we need it. Heck, our sales rep still checks in with me every couple of weeks just to see how things are going. In short, I am impressed.

Now I should offer a disclaimer. Given my opinion of F5, I did the Lynchian thing and purchased some F5 stock. However, I am not posting this note because I like the stock. Rather, I am posting this note because I like the product.

Anyway - just one techie Fool's opinion.

Fool On,

Dwight
