Glad to see there are some AFFX fans around. I feel like I'm alone at times in following this potentially great co.. I don't own any INCY but try to follow it, to have a hand on the pulse of the competition. It's great seeing AFFX climb to the point where it's either fund money driving the price or it's just the bio-tech sector that's finally rotating in. Either way AFFX is a long term keeper, yty rev. keeps doubling market keeps expanding. Genomics is just starting out and whether AFFX or INCY being in now is ground floor, going up! With the current enthusiasm in the market and if it continues could there be a split in the near term for AFFX? The news just keeps getting better from the co. regardless of the litigation w/ INCY. Let's watch the next q report to see if the story continues. good investing, Neal

Jerry: No apology needed. I understood your comment was targeted to the analyst; I did not take offense and in fact agree with you, and don't deny you the joy, after years of being in an unappreciated sector, of delivering the relatively gentle razzberry. I appreciate your thoughtful reply, however.

My impression is that the professional analyst that has a true intellectual understanding of biotechnolgy and genomics is rare, and such a stock broker is practically nonexistent. My classmates who are professional investment advisors were not the type to take science classes in college beyond the core distribution requirements. Not to say that they are not intelligent or don't have other redeeming qualities and that it takes all types to make a world, but if I want information and insight about biotech and genomics, Silicon Investor is the place I go. So many of the people here are remarkably intelligent, knowledgeable, generous, good hearted, and witty. I am very grateful to them. I am also fortunate that my husband loves biochemistry, physics, etc., and thinks that this stuff is a lot of fun and is the future of medicine which has been pretty much of a Stone Age level up to now.
Good luck with your investing.
Lisa
