On the press release:
I like to see the mention of the lawsuit vs. Conrail - "Bentley also reported that the Company is working to try to mediate a settlement with both Norfolk Southern and CSX, who assumed responsibility for the Conrail lawsuit as a result of their acquisition of Conrail."
NYRR has plenty of leverage in this because the Surface Transportation Board (STB) is watching CSX/NS very, very closely and insuring that they are playing in a proper competitive spirit - which favors NYRR for the non-competitive years that Conrail scooted around them.
