Terrence, I think you missed the point with the Acorn Search engine. If I recall correctly, it is used in order to show people how to conduct a bibliographical search. Everything is "fictitious": the publisher, the author, the article, everything. You will not "get" anything at the end of your search.

The fact that an internet search on millions of web pages turned up a few misuses of the term is hardly proof of anything except that what my mother told me goes double on the net: "you can hear (or read) anything you've a mind to."
