Since I do not really care about this one way or another, I was not going to comment, but I changed my mind. It seems obvious that very little can be predicted from the excitement generated by the capture of the Women's World Cup. Your facts are full of qualifications, in any case. The crowd at the Rose Bowl was a women's sports record, it was the most watched soccer game in US tv history,ESPN (which rarely gets to televise the big events) programmed it opposite the All- Star game, the rating of a world championship match involving an American team was double the men's World Cup final between Brazil and France, the victorious American women did better in ratings than the non- victorious American men of last year, the women's World Cup finale exceeded the average ratings for the multi- game finals of a couple of sports, and went almost as high as the average for the World Series last year. At best, one can say that something could come of it....

The lie I spoke of concerned your rather childish rant. The commercial viability of women's soccer is nil. Those are the facts.

BTW, you calling me a liar is like you calling someone stupid. You ought to take a good long look in the mirror before you hurl those kinds of allegations since you are a lying dope yourself. JLA
