AOL readying free Net access device?

Designer chip for AOL could signal the first of a slew
of profitable new partnerships. Deal with National Semi in the works.

Let's see current projections place the availability of DSL in 3 years as available to 80% of the homes in AMERICA. Of course people have to make the decision to sign up. T and @Home are on their way to also ran status. Soon T will make a deal with AOL and on terms favorable to AOL. They have little choice. Mr Case didn't testify
in front of congress. He was elsewhere and some speculate he is in negotiations with T.

WSJ Headline: "AOL Lobbying Move
in Cable Fight Is Paying Off." The WSJ noted that open-access side
(Excite@Home partisan would say "forced access") prevailed when
commisioners in Broward County, FL, voted on the issue. And it quoted a California telecom expert as saying that "Things are definitely moving toward openness."

T hears the train a'commin, It's rollin round the bend, and T ain't seen Armstrong since I don't know when, T's stuck in Cable and time keeps movin on, T won't see the sunshine ever again.....
