<re: The Big O is a keynoter> Oliver should use his routine about "the essence of trading" for the keynote. He has a story where he very ably describes himself as a (presumably commodity) trader, perhaps on the wharf or at the bazaar, could have been two centuries ago, bartering for goods. He describes the process with the teaming throngs bidding for merchandise, offering it out, the emotion of the crowd and how he manipulates it... and makes the point very effectively that it's exactly the same thing we're doing on our Level II screen today. Although I already knew it in my gut, this analogy crystallized some concepts after which I think about trading differently. It's really an ancient profession, we're just using modern tools.
Good trading, -Steve
