It will be possible to go back more than 20 messages in a personal profile, I hope? Some people will go through that many in two hours at times.

Thanks for giving me the option to have the messages in boxes. I had just about given up using the 10 message feature because it was too much work to distinguish where one ended and the next started. BTW, I like having them centered.

Keep up the good work.

June

There is a bug in the full-text search results that has migrated from SI Classic. Very often you will see messages listed on the search results where the name of the source thread is blank. My guess is that it lies in the back-end since it occurs on both sites.

For example:

beta.siliconinvestor.com

Then do a browser search for "swiss exchange". If your results are like mine, the first resulting message and the one immediately following have blank thread names, even though the source threads have "normal" names.

Another couple of thoughts:

1) On the "Movers & Shakers" part could we have a volume increase over average as one of the filters?

2) Is there any way we (as users) can control the font and Color scheme so the gui base does not look so...ahh Raging Bull'ish? The colors are not too hot - sorry.

BryanB, when I put a post number in the thread number box and press enter, nothing happens.

Is anyone working on that?

More worthless thoughts...i bet you can't tell I've just started the SI beta 'eh??

What about automatic alphabetize for our portfolios? If I am repeating previous recommendations just let me know.

After advancing to the 'Next 10' group of messages the system should mark the previous 10 as having been read.

Currently those message links remain the color of non-read messages.

Bryan, A couple of desires....

1. Post #0 should be editable by the thread originator or designate, this could be used as the subjects' "FAQ" post, updated as needed.

Presently Post #0's are just stale memories...no wonder people want to turn them off.

I don't know if you would want to morph it into a Yahoo Club** format, but we could make better use of the thread focal point.

2. Ability to add words to the spelling dictionary (like company names), or at least a clickable means to send a request from within the spell checker to an SI editor.

--------
(** btw: I've been looking at 5 online services for group scheduling/notices for team/family activities and think these are hot apps in the internet space. If you haven't seen this kind of app in action take a look at a Yahoo Club page. I haven't decided which service I'll use for it yet though.)

The Private Message Respond screen needs to be tightened up by 1/8" or so (vertically) so the submit button/preview option are visible without scrolling down.

Whenever I (slowly) pass the mouse pointer over the bronze horizontal rules above or below the toolbar, a small rectangular box containing a vertical stroke momentarily appears below the pointer. Anyone else see this?
