Grislee, I agree that Palm is a nice platform and technically superior to CE. Does it matter much? Think about it. In the end marketing hype and money wins. MSFT has both. Who would have thought clumsy DOS will come all the way. That APple had a better GUI and technology but what happened. I know IBM, AOL, SUNW and ORCL are backing it. That is why it won't be a cake walk for MSFT. However, MSFT has embarked on bribing potential partners in the form of equity investment and that will have large influence in increasing market share. They are following the same strategy the one used in browser war (there they gave it free to consumers and bribed it to ISPs as a free software to get market share. On top of it they integrated as part of windows to double count each unit of IE as OS and browser). I don't know whether Eric has that much fire power left in him. Moreover he is a confused man as for vision in concerned. They have to break this damn company and make Palm a separate unit. I know wireless handheld is the wave of future but now it is a question of execution. Will Eric and his dummies do a good job? Next few months will give an answer IMHO. -Nat
