personally i would rather miss a 100% gain than take a 100% loss. at least if i miss the gain i am still have capital with which to proceded.

sell the shares you have profit on. you will still have the shares purchased at higher prices in the event that the company is taken out this time. if it will make you feel any better, buy some front month calls to cover the shares you sell... say the AUG 10 calls. at least then you will still have profits with which to buy more at the next bottom.

but thats just my thinking.
