Which do you think will scale better, the Athlon or the Cop-a-feel?

I can't overstate the significance of the immature state of Athlon. Processors in early life stages generally have lots of low hanging fruit to pick for improving MHz.

There is no denying the less mature status of the K7 design. however, the Coppermine core is not close to dead yet. Not at all. It'll scale.
