Bill, I don't think the 29th was at all related to oil prices. In fact, in the Fall of 1997 oil was beginning to soften with the economic downturn in Asia. Then OPEC declared a 10% increase in production! Check your CRY0 index on TC200.

I believe you are right, the big one could come at anytime, but I think in a direction contrary to expressed here.
