If you go directly to a bank, how do you get your transactions into quicken?

Ask the bank if they have an OFX server installed. If the bank has installed an OFX server then any PFM can look pretty much like a Internet browser. The PFM just stream feeds the instructions because you do your work offline then transmit.

OFX will make sure you don't get duplicate transaction like you do when you d/l QIF files, if the bank only support QIF file d/l, get ready for a very messy check register.
