You're right about their affiliation with TI. Equally as important is the fact EFNT cut its teeth on ATM and their DSL is all ATM-based. Since the recent ITU specifications for G.Lite are built on ATM that's no small matter.

Mark Floyd was CFO of Networth before it was bought out (CPQ?) and when their CEO went on to start NetSpeed, Mark started Efficient Networks. He's respected throughout the industry and has a group of top managers that are as sharp as any I've met anywhere. I've been to Dallas and toured the company and talked to the management many times.

I could be wrong but I'd guess a lot of folks are waiting to buy on pull-backs.
