Paul Allen's Wired World Portfolio update, 7/16/99:

The portfolio lost 4.99% today. This compares to a gain of 0.88% for the NASDAQ composite.

Stocks that contributed to the loss were STMP with a 10.47% drop, shedding 4 3/4 to 40 5/8. MCOM dropped 3 1/6 to 35 3/16, posting a drop of 8%.

Gainers were few, as net stocks were not in favor on Friday. Many technicians attribute the sell off to options expiration.

Current value of the portfolio is $108,437, up 8.4% in 9 trading days.
