Mariner, I'll have to pay normal taxes on my withdrawals, just as you do in Canada, but at the normal rate, not an inflated one. The withdrawal period is extended as well, to match the actuarial life span of either my wife or me, whichever is longer.

thanks for your efforts on our behalf with QCOM earlier in the week.

I really appreciate that, mariner; you are most welcome. Many folks on the Q thread thought my posts were an attack on Q's management, and flamed me in return. I fully understand their reaction. But I brought the issue to the surface and provoked some very insightful responses (not the ones that questioned my ancestry <g>), and, in the end, was able to justify increasing my allocation in Q this morning. I think that's the most important reason to be member of SI to begin with; I feel bad that I enraged so many people in the process, but will feel great on Tuesday when I look at my portfolio.

this can be attributed to Lindy's Russian Army theory, although I must admit I am more diversified than he

Everybody is more diversified that Bill, except for mp <lol>. I have to admit I feel like I'm walking on the wild side myself; Q is now 74% of my portfolio. Good luck to us all tomorrow.
