In other words, T does not now attack with a scientific argument, which would be much more deadly, but instead they mush around with political and financial arguments.

I think they are starting to learn about their target audience: Politicians and financial analysts.

The problem with the technical argument is that it is too complex. AT&T says it cant reasonably be done, GTE&AOL say they are doing it already at a cost of $1 per subscriber. Who you gonna believe? How informed do you think your average city councilman is going to be on managing a complex network?

All I know is that I have a technical background but when I read Frank or many of the posts on the "last mile" thread on this topic my head starts to swim. Telecommunications technology has a language all its own.
