Nokia to Supply Equipment for 750,000 New DSL Lines to Covad Communications for Nationwide Deployment in the U.S. Extension of 1998 Supply Agreement Valued At More Than USD 100 Million IRVING, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--July 21, 1999--Nokia (NYSE:NOK - news), a leading industry supplier of communications network solutions and services worldwide and a leader in the supply of digital subscriber line (DSL) products and services, has signed an extension to a supply agreement with Covad Communications (Nasdaq:COVD - news), for DSL network equipment worth more than USD 100 million.
