Expectations/EP1: Yes. Sometimes I guess I should not be so dang critical, but rather should just sit back, relax and enjoy the show. It helped that I took a younger child to the thing. My older kids are unfortunately very much like me in the way they approach films. Anything requiring them to accept too much silliness and they get a bit miffed. My youngsters cracked up with Binks, and that spit slinging character. They of course could identify with little Skywalker, and liked his pod racing. It was a lesson for me: always see goofy adventure films with young kids. When it was over, my son reached over to me and said "Dad, I LOVED it!"

Shadowlands: I too am fond off C.S. Lewis and would imagine I have read all his books. As a result I saw the Shadowlands film. Ironically it was perhaps the only film I thought worth my time during the period I had forsworn films. The film was good, not great, but good. Anthony Hopkins is perhaps the greatest actor living today. There is a Shadowlands scene in which he, as Lewis, speaks painfully and yet derisively to a colleague of his "dark night of the soul" that nearly took my breath away. He obviously carries with him a remarkable degree of pain. No one who has led a charmed life can project such heartache. He was also extraordinary in Amistad.

Pezz: (Well, I may as well speak my mind on this). I think our subject here is interested in impressing coey, who ostensibly hates anything Islamic. So bent is he on this purpose that he has come to literally hate Muslim religion and perhaps Muslims themselves. Some guys will literally sell their dang souls at even the remotest prospect of getting a little (and believe me, with coey the prospect is DEFINEY amongst the remotest). Why with these fellas, after having gone dry for a few years, they lose their friggin' minds. They are about the strongest arguments yet for legalised prostitution. (hehe. I is DEFINEY dang crazy. Yup DEFINEY.)
