<<Perhaps you can explain the connection you see between GMGC and GIC's investment in ATHM.>>.

The relevance is tenuous at best. I offer this as my reason why I posted it ... the news story that Excite received a $5 million dollar investment was originally forwarded to me by someone who misread the Million dollar figure as BILLION ... She was so excited by that HUGE amount that she titled her email to me with that 5 billion dollar figure ... I got caught up in the hype as well and since Excite had invested in GMGC, I thought a MUCH stronger Excite@home would be good for a MUCH stronger GMGC as well (any connection between Excite@home customers and General Magic - a real possibility - is a good thing as far as I'm concerned) ...

But, obviously, there is a BIG difference between million and billion as my closer reading of the news article revealed to me AFTER I had posted the news to the thread ...

Lesson learned is read news releases more carefully before posting them ... But, as a very general rule of thumb, any investment in new internet business technologies is good for all internet business technologies in a round about sort of way ... what goes around, comes around ...

All in all though, it was a good day to own some GMGC (its been awhile) ...

Best of luck to all longs ...
