it was a good discussion about options expiration yesterday. if our thinking was correct, we should see alot of activity in the at the money july calls (jul 95), and my radar says 14.6k of those suckers traded. i don't know if that is people selling, buying, or both... but i think we had open interest of about 27k yesterday. so, it may be that over half of those option holders have sold. in which case, the institutions that were working so hard to keep the price at 95 or below yesterday might feel less pressure to keep it down today. in any case, it ramped to 97-98 right out of the gate. i suspect a strong close upwards of 100. i plan to sell my july 95s with market orders with 10 minutes left in the trading day.
