MediSolution enters U.S. market through PWA agreement MediSolution Ltd MSH Shares issued 30,846,178 Jul 20 close $1.35 Wed 21 Jul 99 News Release Mr. Thom Skinner reports MediSolution and U.K.-based PWA Personnel Systems Limited have entered into an agreement which will make MediSolution the exclusive distributor of PWA's human resources systems in the United States health care market. The agreement will give MediSolution exclusive rights for PWA products in the health care market throughout North America. The distribution agreement includes PWA software programs in three core modules related to personnel management, recruiting and training activities, and an intranet self-service solution. Each core module exists as a stand-alone solution or as part of a fully-integrated, Y2K compliant, HR solution. In addition to marketing PWA software, MediSolution will provide installation, consulting, support and training services to customers. In early 1998, MediSolution acquired distribution rights for the Canadian health care market for PWA's HR systems. These products are currently distributed by MediSolution under the MediHR brand. Initial market response to this enhanced product has been highly positive, as evidenced by the recent selection of MediSolution as preferred vendor for a full-function human resource management system (HRMS) by a prominent group of Toronto-area hospitals. MediSolution plans to build on this positive experience in the Canadian market by taking MediHR and other products to the U.S. health care market. In announcing the agreement, MediSolution president and chief executive officer Remi St-Hilaire said: "We are pleased to partner with PWA who are recognized as a leader in the HR software market throughout the world. PWA's HR management software will enable us to establish a premium offering in the growing U.S. health care market." MediHR is a new generation of human resource software designed by HR professionals and tailored for the health care market. Developed by PWA, this product is installed in over 1,400 sites worldwide. It enables MediSolution to provide a fully-integrated human resource, staff scheduling and payroll solution. A Windows user interface and client/server approach, using Microsoft's new SQL Server database, enhances ease of use. PWA Personnel Systems Limited of the United Kingdom develops, markets and supports a complete range of human resource software solutions. Over 1,400 organizations worldwide use PWA software, including both private sector companies and public sector organizations.
